While the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare is a division of the City of Tulsa, receiving funding for operations, such funds through the city of Tulsa does not always provide for many amenities needed or wanted for the comfort of these animals in need. These animals do NOT CHOOSE or WISH to be residents of the shelter, some are rescued from abuse, abandonment and/or neglect, and voluntary surrender from owners. COTAW works diligently in the form of animal care and awareness, providing a safe, loving, healthy environment for these animals, as well as showing these animals respect at every turn.
COTAW also gives back to our community by working with state detention centers such as the Woman's Detention Center, by providing hands on experience with animal grooming in order to give these women a career and better choice of life by obtaining certification in animal grooming upon their release back into the community.
COTAW provides transportation for those animals designated as "adoptable" to out of state shelters and organizations as an alternative to euthanization.
We wish to raise funds by holding a silent auction, raffle drawings, and special give-a-ways the day of the event. We will also be requesting participation in the form of designated drop locations for purchased donated items.
We ask for your companies participation in the form of services, gifts for auction/drawings, public service announcements, please contact Dana Fusco, DanaSue4u Events, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 25th International Blues Challenge - Mini Documentary of our Trip
Matt Martin the intrepid drummer for the Sheep put together this video of our travels to Memphis. We had a blast representing The Blues Society of Tulsa, and would like to thank everyone that has supported us, and everyone that made the trip with us. Club 152 was a great place to play. We had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new friends at the IBC this year.
A Huge Thank You Tulsa!
Jennifer Marriott and Odd Sheep Out (Peep and the Sheep) are heading to Memphis for the 25th International Blues Challenge! Words cannot express adequately how thankful we are to The Blues Society of Tulsa for selecting us to represent them this year. Every single band that competed was extremely talented and they could have selected any of us to go. We are humbled to have been chosen, and we will do our best to do you proud. Congrats to Little Joe McLerran for being selected to represent in the Solo/Duo category!
Here is some video of the winning performance:
