DanaSue4u Events would like to invite you to participate in a fundraiser to benefit the animals of the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare. This event will be held Saturday February 27th, 2010 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at the Rose Bowl Events Center on Historical Route 66, 7419 E. 11th St. in Tulsa, Ok. The purpose of this event is to obtain items much needed by COTAW in order to provide a more comfortable and personal environment for the animals during their habitation at the shelter. COTAW has compiled a "wish list" of such items:
Kong Toys
Peanut Butter
Chew toys (adult & puppy)
Tennis Balls
Collars/Leashes (Break-away type)
Grooming Tools
Animal Carriers/Crates
Cat & Dog Toys (washable)
Average Sized Plastic Dish Pans
Paper Towels
Cleaning Tools such as Small Hand Broom/Dust Pan Set
Kuranda Beds for Dogs and Cats (www. http://www.facebook.com/l/8fa94;kuranda.com)
The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare also holds a separate account for financial donations to go towards Clinic related items and their animal transfer programs, for more information, please contact Millicent Adu-H' Torah, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. While the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare is a division of the City of Tulsa, receiving funding for operations, such funds through the city of Tulsa does not always provide for many amenities needed or wanted for the comfort of these animals in need. These animals do NOT CHOOSE or WISH to be residents of the shelter, some are rescued from abuse, abandonment and/or neglect, and voluntary surrender from owners. COTAW works diligently in the form of animal care and awareness, providing a safe, loving, healthy environment for these animals, as well as showing these animals respect at every turn.
COTAW also gives back to our community by working with state detention centers such as the Woman's Detention Center, by providing hands on experience with animal grooming in order to give these women a career and better choice of life by obtaining certification in animal grooming upon their release back into the community.
COTAW provides transportation for those animals designated as "adoptable" to out of state shelters and organizations as an alternative to euthanization.
We wish to raise funds by holding a silent auction, raffle drawings, and special give-a-ways the day of the event. We will also be requesting participation in the form of designated drop locations for purchased donated items.
We ask for your companies participation in the form of services, gifts for auction/drawings, public service announcements, please contact Dana Fusco, DanaSue4u Events, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
